Acrylic or Gel Nails for the Big Day?

I'm a fan of gel.

I'm doing gel on acrylic. I always have my nails done, and I always do gel on acrylic. Little more expensive but my nails aren't very long. plus the gel makes them shiny until my next appointment. My nails last me about 3-4 weeks.

I swear by gels!

Do you generally get fake nails done? I suggest doing what you are comfortable in!

I've gotten gel twice hated it each time. Could be the place I went too not sure. I got Sns this time to see how it would hold up and they are great! My nails are growing o long and there is no chipping well over a week of having them. I'm hard on my hands, I rode horses so think dirt and lots of washing but they are still going strong

If you are worried about the length/strength of your nails, take probiotics and prenatals!

Dip Powder!!! Its the perfect combo between gel and acrylic and it doesn't hurt your nails like acrylic! It is thin and does not require a drill, they only use the buff block. I will say though getting dip powder french tips is still a hard and new concept, but my salon has been practicing for the last few months and definitely getting better.

Dip all the way! These are my real nails in this picture but you can add tips if you want length. I have my nails done every two weeks and I've done acrylic, gel, and dip and love me some dip!

I have never had acrylic so I can't speak to that but I always get gel. I will say it has taken me many salons to find a gel manicure that lasts longer then a week so don't go too early. I have found places that will stay on for over 3 weeks but most places last a week or a little more if I'm lucky

I plan to just do the acrylic polish. It's less damaging than either of the other two options and regular nail polish just will not adhere to my nails

I'd definitely say gel, I tried acrylics for our engagement photos and it severely damaged my nails.
