Acrylic as in clear? I feel like making this many would be a pain, but to each their own! Remember you only need 1 invite per household, not per person. Or are you inviting like, 400 people (assuming 2 people per invite)??

Basicinvite.com has really pretty acrylic invites that could save you the pain of DIYing something so important and such a big quantity.

Look at cardsandpockets.com, they just got a new acrylic section for their invites and they're pretty thick. Be advised though, as cool as they look, acrylic invitations can easily shatter in transit and your guests could get an envelope of acrylic shards... they are also a lot heavier then traditional invites and will cost more to send. As someone who loved the look of them as well, I'm opting to buy a set of 10 as keepsakes for FH and my parents and ourselves and sticking with paper invitations for the rest.

Thanks for the heads up!!!! I just got off the phone with someone at Plastic Printers and they said that they use a thinner material that is clear laminated plastic.Just for the reasons you have stated... lol They said that the will send me samples in the mail, and will call me back with a quote nest week. By then I should have the sample by then. That way I can see what they look and feel like (weight wise)... But you have a great idea on just getting a few as keepsakes, and using paper invitations for the rest... Didn't think of that!! lol Glad I finally posted after being on this site (incognito) forever lol.

Yes, keep it in mind for sure! And make sure to look at the envelope of your sample, they usually come heavily wrapped or within one of those bubble envelopes, when I got my sample, I basically said, yeah, nope, not spending $2+ on postage for 130 people. Smaller wedding, or could hand deliver all my invites, maybe I'd consider it 😆

Thank you sooo much!!! Do you have an Etsy Account? If so, go to Invitations by Khan. He’s based out of Dehli, India but he’s very professional and he always respond back immediately! The turnaround time didn’t take long either. Tell him that Liz & Kharter referred you. He also did our menu cards for us in Acrylic as well. The box size is 6.25 x 6.25. The boxes came with the invites. Postage was real expensive. We hand delivered the invites to the guest who live in town and FedEx the invites to the guest who live out of town.

I wish my invitations did cost $130. We actually ordered 120 invitations and he put in an extra 10 invites for free.
