Hey everyone ! I'm having alterations issues and I am looking for someone in New Jersey that could add a bustle to my dress. I was quoted $300 at David's bridal for a hem so I went elsewhere and got my dress hemmed. Now that I had alterations done outside of DB, the refuse to add a bustle to my dress. Any suggestions are appreciated 😔

Can the person who hemmed your dress not add a bustle?

I would go back to the place you had it gemmed. They should hopefully be able to add a bustle. If not, look for some seamstresses in your area that have good reviews

Fama's in Milltown, NJ is a good seamstress. I've used her for bridesmaid dresses. I just went with my bridal salon for all the dress alterations.

I’m in Monroe near Old Bridge. I second Fama’s in Milltown as she does beautiful work. All my daughters formal dresses have been taken there.
