Mario grooms cake, everyone knows FH loves Mario, he even has a scene tattooed on his shin.

I love cigars so naturally we are having a cigar bar and we are putting out personalized matchboxes.

Obsessed with ice cream, so we are having an ice cream bar with our favorite flavors.

FH also loves comics, him and his groomsmen will be wearing silver plated superhero cufflinks.

I'm obsessed with spiders, I've incorporated them into my brooch bouquet and for my hair piece.

We did a local theme, so vendors using local items if applicable, did neighborhoods of Seattle instead of table numbers, and local wine, beer. We also came in to the NFL theme song on fox as our grand entrance, did a whiskey unity ceremony, and wrote our own vows. Also, our cake topper was handmade for us with me in a Packer jersey and him in a Hawks jersey. Local Seattle , football and booze is clearly important to us lol.

We love zombie themed things so on the backside of our "elegant" cake...a little zombie head will be popping out!

We just used music that we like. We had a lot of songs from older movies like Beverly Hills Cop, and Back to the Future. Walked into the Game of Thrones song. Garter song was James Bond Spy song. and just fun stuff. Music was all over the place but rap songs. We even had some Elvis played along with Jerry Louis Great Balls of Fire I think. Most people who know us, know we love movies and music.

We're collecting growlers from our favorite breweries to use as centerpieces/table names, using prints from our favorite TV shows as a guest book, and ending the night with S'mores by the fire. Pretty much everything we're doing is personal including the venue. We've got plenty of time, but the music ideas we've been tossing around have me so excited. We want everyone to smile and say, "yup, that's so them!"

We pre-made Hs apple pie moonshine and served it warm. Everyone LOVES his moonshine.

Our cake was a little eccentric. It had puppy paw prints (my obsession) going up one side, and tire tracks (his obsession) up the other. They met at our cake topper, which I made, and was a bride and groom dog (painted to match ours) on top of a tire, lol.

    Our Mr/Mrs signs were ornaments.

That's about it! We didn't go all out, just a few little things.

My personal touch will be that I'm going to bake cookies for a cookie buffet as the favor. Since I'm not making my the cake I feel like I need to provide something sweet made by me. I also want to get little wood dolls from Etsy as our cake topper. Because they are cute and we can display them at home after.

Ours is flooded with nerdy references. Too many to mention them all. The card box is a mario question mark box. There will be a "no admittance except on party business" sign. We are being introduced to the superman theme song. I am doing origami flowers for my bouquets and bouts with paper chosen by each person. The could choose comic books, sheet music, artwork from their favorite artist, page from favorite book (all of which I printed, I didn't sacrifices books or anything), etc.

ETA: we are bringing out collectible light sabers to the pictures Smiley smile

MrsBest2B, I would love a great recipe! I don't make a lot of German food because I'm not big into it, but when I feel like spoiling him I'll make something smothered in Sauerkraut for him.

The whole thing is very us. From the colors to our location. The favors are even reflective of us.

We're going to be there....so that is very personal!! Haha.

I think it the whole thing will reflect our personalities. We're having a rockabilly band, a pie for cutting, and lots of woodland creatures.

Everything we did. We figured it being a gay wedding we could write our own rules... (pretty much anyone can anyways... but hell... it made it easier.)

I wore a super skinny tie right out of my punk rock days.

Our guest books were blank white large plastic Mickey Mouse Vinylmations (normally they are art pieces of different characters that we collect)

Our photo booth had Dr. Who, Batman, Marvel, and Harry Potter props.

Our wedding cake was ice cream cake, and our cake toppers were Pop Vinyls of Beastboy (me) and Robin (DH)

The pre-ceremony music was Vitamin String Quartet covers of punk rock and ska songs. (Only my friends caught in, to our family it just sounded like nice string quartet music)

Our first dance was to the Weezer/Haley Williams cover of The Rainbow Connection (Muppets)

No engagement or baby photos for us, but little things, like I'm super into wine, so the menus will list wine pairings and provide tasting notes for the wines we're pouring at the wedding. And my fiancé is an architect, so there are architecture drawings for the table runners:
