Adding a plus 1

Erica, on December 21, 2020 at 12:00 AM Posted in Account Support 0 6
Hello all, my wedding date is approaching
2.27.21. Sending out my invites next week. I am using the weddingwire website for my guests to RSVP. Does anyone know how the guest can add a plus 1 to their name once they RSVP. Thanks

I'm following this. I had someone offline ask me this.

    Adding a plus 1 1
Yes! When you add a new guest, click on the "related guest" tab and fill in the plus one info (either their name or Guest will do). Be sure to also select "invite to wedding" further down. Dojng it this way means when your main guest goes to RSVP their guest will pop up at the same time. I'm grouping together all people in each household this way so they don't have to search each person individually. Super cool!

Not sure why my screenshot cut off like that but here is what I meant to attach: http://imgur.com/a/2V6LnBi

I tested a couple in my own guest list / RSVP and I don't see a way for someone to add their own guest in. From what I can tell you have two options:

    1) If you know the name of their plus one, you can add them in yourself and then they'll see it when they RSVP.
    2) If you're offering general plus ones, you can add in that person as something generic like "Guest" or "Plus One." When your guests go to RSVP they will see their name and the "Plus One" or "Guest". They'll be able to indicate that they have a guest, but you won't get their name. There is a comment box as part of the RSVP form which you could ask your guests to use to write in the name of their plus one, otherwise you'll have to contact them yourself. Wish there was a better way! But, at least you won't have people adding tons of unexpected guests this way.

Agreed. And my thoughts just didn’t want to make sure I wasn’t overlooking it. Thank you so much:
