Adding embellishments to a dress ?

Has anyone ever had embellishments added to their dress? If so what is the general cost for it and have you had a good/bad experience ? I had the option between one wedding dress my friend was going to sell to me or the dress i ended up buying. I loved the embellishments on her dress and mine doesn't have any. It does have a tiny bit of sparkle (I think it's like a clear sequin throughout the lace). But I'm looking to add more "wow" to my gown.

I had my dress embellished it already sequin on it. I brought a half yard of material that cost $80 dollars. Jus for embellishing a customized split. And the tailor fee was $150 . The price will vary depending on the work you want.
