Adding more lace appliqué to dress?

Could we maybe get a picture of you in the dress or just a full length picture of the dress itself? From the close up I think it looks ok but I'd like to see the entire dress.

People get petty and rude when it comes to weddings. Your dress is anything BUT plain or simple so I don't know where this bish gets off saying that to you. I guarantee your dress is a showstopper and no one will think it is anything less than amazing. I don't think you need to add anything more, it's so beautiful as is.

What, who called that dress simple? It's absolutely beautiful, and I don't think you should listen to them at all. As for it being not white, a lot of brides don't wear stark white anymore. There are plenty of brides who get married in bright colors. In fact, that's what I was expecting from the opening comment you made. Please don't heed these comments. After seeing your dress, I personally think they're blind, or crazy, or both.

It is not simple. It is beautiful. I would leave it how it is. You want to wear the dress. You don't want the dress to wear you.

^ I second @CandiedPeach that dress is anything but plain. Also, almost nobody goes with stark white. There was just a thread in here last week about those who are wearing Ivory or Champagne or Blush instead of stark white. Overwhelmingly so too. You look amazing, don't let jealous bishes get you down!

FH, MOH, and I visited our reception venue today at the invitation of our WC and ran into the bride taking pictures in the courtyard. She couldn't have been a day over 20 and was wearing an ivory dress so the whole "not white" philosophy can be damned. It seems more unusual to wear bright white than it is to wear an off white now.

Your dress is GORGEOUS and you will look beautiful on your wedding day. Dont listen to the negative comments, sounds like people maybe have a touch of jealousy or envy and its bringing out the catty side of them. You rock that dress and have a phenomenal wedding!

I love that dress!!! I've noticed that a strong backbone is needed when planning a wedding....with family members, co workers, vendors, and especially haters!

I agree with PPs, you and your dress are stunning. It's not simple at all! It has tons of detailing and is very elegant. TBH if you added more appliques then I think it would look too busy/crowded. Everyone who's hating can STFU because they are flat out wrong.
