Adding "Plus 1" on WW guest list

Liz, on November 30, 2016 at 11:19 AM Posted in Planning 0 4

Hi all!

Anyone know the best way to add a "plus one" for people in the WW guest list tool?

Do I add another guest to each household that says "so-and-so's plus one?" Is there a way to add a line that they fill in with their name?

Thanks for the thoughts!

I used "So- and- so's plus one" and it worked out fine.

Hi Liz! The plus one can't submit their name through our RSVP function, or it could be a free-for-all of people inviting themselves Smiley smile Just add another guest to the household as "John Guest" or "Guest Smith" (whatever makes more sense to you) so they can RSVP that way!

    Hi Lynnie,

What if the wedding I am entertaining is a free-for-all? I want to at least have the option to decide if I want a free-for-all. Is there anyway at all to do this? I am inviting families with children I don't remember the name to, SOs, etc. Additionally, Some want to bring their children, others don't.

Hi Amber! Unfortunately we don't have an open 'free-for-all' option, the RSVP function is limited to guests who have been specifically added to your guest list. You can always add optional plus ones that your guests can claim or decline, and the same with kids (you could add them as Doe Family 1, Doe Family 2, Doe Family 3, etc.)

Also - there is a free-form optional text box where your guests can add a note as they RSVP, so you could also leave a note on the RSVP page asking your guests to leave a note if they'll be bringing a plus one or their kids. That way you wouldn't have to add placeholders in your guest list, but it does rely on your guests being more proactive with their response!
