Adding straps to the strapless dress. Who has done it? Was it worth it?

Hey there fellow brides! I'm debating adding these lace straps to my dress and then lowering the back. Have any of you added straps to your dress? Pros? Cons? Any help (and pictures) would be really helpful. Thank you!

    I'm considering this. My grandmother is really adamant about my dress having straps so when I was trying on dresses they kept putting straps over my shoulders to show me how it looked. I actually really liked it but I'm still on the fence.
