Address labels

Vanessa, on August 23, 2017 at 12:47 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 3 14

Is there a program or way to make address labels for invitations to each guest? Like an excel type thing? Trying to save time and hand cramping for when we send out invitations. Every time I look online I find address labels for one address (like return address labels) not a way to make many for different addresses.

Word has one. Unclick the fill column text and make sure you have the right template for it. Type in and print.

Where is a good place to get the blank labels? Any office supply type store?

I got mine from Wal-Mart. Much cheaper than the office supply store.

Avery has some that you download the template online! Super easy! I was a crazy lady and printed each one separately directly onto my envelopes because of an old printer Smiley smile.

You can merge the excel file with a word doc like Kate mentioned And then take it to office max/depot to get printed. Thats what I did. It was less than $5

ETA: When I say take it I mean you can email it to them and they will print it on the labels for you.

I ordered clear easy peel address labels from staples during a promotional offer.. buy 2 packages and get 1 free.

I printed out 2 sets of address labels; 1 for STD's and another for Thank You cards.

The invitations were addressed through wedding paper divas (although, I would never purchase from wedding paper divas again, nor would I recommend using their services).

I bought my Avery labels on amazon for cheap. Avery has a program you download and it's really simple to customize and play with different fonts.

I downloaded a pretty font from dafonts.com I think it's called. And then I typed them out onto word and printed them on the envelopes at home with my printer. It did take a while and I had to watch a few YouTube videos to figure it out since I'm not that computer savvy but it saved me a lot of writing and looked way better than my crappy handwriting.

I bought Avery labels online from Amazon and they have a template to use. I played around with it and you have the option to have it be return addresses or different addresses

ETA: Just read @enigmaticjello 's comment...

This might be a dumb question, but can you run your envelopes through the printer? I think it looks so much better than labels. There should be a word template for whatever size envelopes you have.

ETA: Just read @dani's comment - not sure how I missed that one! I love dafont!! Definitely recommend it.

My FFIL uses Microsoft access and has a database of names and addresses and just prints them out on envelopes using that! Smiley smile

You can use Word. Make an Excel file and use the mail merge in MS word to import your list
