My soon to be brother and laws girlfriend is good friends with me, but I already have a HUGE wedding party and pretty sure my mom would kill me if we added 2 more people (because we would need another groomsman too). She has always told me how much she really wants to be in my wedding and I would love for her to be, so I asked her to be my flower girl and she seemed super happy about it. I'm a little nervous about it because I don't want her to feel left out or offended, but it's all I could really do. Has anyone done this before (she's 23) and how did it go?

A girl I know asked her mom to be her flower girl. I think grandmas as flower girls are so sweet but I would find it weird if it was a girl who was bridesmaid age.

I like to be positive. Maybe she sings like a bird.

I would love to know how all of this turned out, since presumably your wedding was last month. I (and the majority of my friends) would love to be a flower girl!
I am getting married in 1 month and we have my fiances grandparents as our flower girl and ring bearer. They are the parents of my fiances late mother and have been married for over 50 years!

I asked my future sister-in-law to be my flower girl since her son is my ring bearer. She absolutely loved the idea and is really getting into it. She even came up with the idea of wearing a flower crown .. I don't think anyone should be insulted by you asking, they should be honored that you still wanted to include them in your wedding.

It turned out beautiful! Nanny was so into it and picked out a matching dress from David's Bridal and His grandfather wore a linen vest and pants to match the groomsmen!

Wow, Imo that's crazy. I'd be flattered, and if someone was offended I'd literally uninvite them entirely Smiley smile also relationships.may change, but some won't. I'm 10 months out and picked mine. But I know they're solid.

This is exactly what I did! My nephew just turned one so his momma will be there to walk with him down the isle.

I have seen adult flower girls twice-- once it was the grandmother! They also had adult ring bearer. Those petals should just be tossed in the air in wild joyful abandon as the flower girl spins down the aisle. It is fine and still delightful. I did direct one of these and was the florist for another.

You would be insulted??? Wow dude. Google it. It's 100% normal to have an adult flower girl. Tons of weddings don't allow children and have adult flower girls. Choosing to be offended over something like this is the most petty and ridiculous thing I have ever heard. She said she is GOOD FRIENDS with this person, why on earth would their relationship change?? I know I am years late to the party here, but your reply really got on my nerves.

I think everyone is taking it way too seriously. When you have a wedding with no children what do you expect ? I’m not going to allow two kids in my wedding to fill the spot. Make it more adult forward. We have “Libations Liaison” and “Ring Security”. Libations passed out shouts instead of flower petals.
