Advice Needed! Covid Bachelorette Party

Christie, on April 28, 2020 at 11:48 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 5

Hi there friends! I live in Minnesota and I was so excited--I had my whole bachelorette party planned for June. I booked a really fun hotel, got reservations at restaurant, booked reservations at a craft & cocktail place, and had planned for a sleepover. With such a heavy heart, it does not look like I'll be having this party with all that is going on. The hotel I booked is currently closed and if they remained closed in June, I will get my money back. If they are open, I don't see anything else in the near future opening to do our activities and therefore I would have the only option to move the date. Any advice? What do I use the hotel for if I cancel my bachelorette party? I'm supposed to be getting married in August and it would be kind of weird to have a party knowing that I might not get married in August. I didn't spend all this money to only have one person show up. Thoughts? Thanks!

How far is the hotel from where you live? Are you able to get a partial refund? If you aren’t able to get any sort of refund, I would probably try to move the date to July or August knowing you may have to move it again. Sorry this is happening to you, I know all the uncertainty sucks.

Can you use it for just you and your fiance? Make if a romantic date experience instead?

The hotel is only 20 mins away, but I do have a one or two people that would be traveling farther to get to the party, if that matters. So far the hotel seems pretty strict with their policy. Maybe I need someone with more of a backbone to call them lol. I should see if I can move it more than once. Thank you!

I was thinking that too! The tricky part is that the room I booked--there's only one room of that type that they have. Just got to figure out where to move it to and if it's available maybe. Thanks, Hannah!

You could even use the room for just you and your fiancé to have a special night away if it's open in June! Smiley heart

Any change in location will feel exciting right now! Smiley laugh
