Advice on Bridesmaid Dresses to go with a Lace Wedding Dress

Taylor, on January 20, 2016 at 1:03 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 15

Can any ladies out there give me some advice on bridesmaid dresses that could work with my wedding dress? I have a ivory lace gown with a champagne material under. See the link posted... http://www.allurebridals.com/products/9215

I have ideas in mind but I thought I would see if anyone else who had a lace wedding dress can give me some tips on dresses for the bridesmaids. My wedding is in October so I would like them to wear a long dress. I don't want to get a dress that looks so unlike mine that they clash but at the same time I don't want them in full on lace like me. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Smiley smile

My bridesmaids are wearing lace dresses from David's Bridal.

Gorgeous! Your dress is very similar to mine actually. I am letting my bridesmaids pick their own dresses, and so far they've ended up with really different stuff. I always think chiffon is a beautiful choice for floor-length gowns.

I haven't purchased a dress yet, but I'm leaning toward tulle or lace. Since it is a softer look, I was looking at chiffon dresses for bridesmaids. Maybe that is a good direction to go?

If some is good, more is better. I wore lace and so did my BM. The BM dresses are from David's Bridal.

I love long chiffon dresses for your style. I'm also biased since that's what I did.

Love the dress - I'd stick with chiffon - too much lace could look a little funny if the lace styles are different - there are some Bill Levkoff and MoriLee dresses that have a little lace at the top of a chiffon dress, so if you really want lace you could try that Smiley smile

I have an all lace dress that is ivory over champagne as well! I didn't want my BM's in lace too so they are doing chiffon dresses in navy blue!

My dress isn't all over lace like yours, but there's still a lot of it (picture 1). And what my bridesmaids are wearing in cobalt blue (picture 2).

Maybe some lace accent sleeves if you want them to match? My dress was all lace and my bridesmaids had no lace. We looked at some dresses with lace but it was just too busy all together.

I had a lace dress, got married in October and had the same opinions as you. My girls wore this dress, in black but they had a lot of other colors. Its Bill Levkoff #1145 and it cost them $150

    Helllooooo dress twin Smiley smile

My girls are wearing Alfred Angelo chiffon dresses in mocha, I'm letting them choose their own. I thought if they also wore lace it would be too much lace, but I think little accents would be cute, like a lace bodice and chiffon skirt.

I have a similar gown (Allure 9266, ivory lace over champagne organza). My bridesmaids are wearing a mesh dress from DB. I would have also considered chiffon. This is the style we chose, which also comes in a long option.
