Advice on how to sell a wedding venue reservation

Samantha, on May 12, 2021 at 11:17 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
Due to COVID has anyone sold their venue/date for cheaper price then they paid? Our venue wouldn’t refund us but we don’t want to loose all the money we have paid

It might be possible Samantha! Will your venue let you sell the date/space? Or do you just need to find someone to fill the date??

I'd try posting in local wedding Facebook groups to see if anyone is interested!

I'm in the same boat... We had a venue booked for 6/20/2020, but with covid ended up having a little wedding at our house. We're were able to push out our date with the Ole Hanson Beach Club for 8/20/2022, but are 20k invested in our contract... We're actively looking for a new couple to sell our date to, we're not trying to make a profit, but also don't want to loose a bunch of money...

Hello! I’m actually debating doing this but to be the one buying. Can you send me more info on your wedding information?

I too am in the same boat but I'm only out the $6k deposit - it was a destination to New Orleans - the wedding date is still Friday March 4, 2022 want to relinquish the date to someone for half our deposit.
