Affordable flashback free foundation?

H, on September 2, 2019 at 12:48 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 9
Does anyone have any recommendations on a drugstore foundation that's medium/full coverage, oil free (preferred but not a must), long lastinf and does well with photography?

All the ones I own give an awful flash back.

I don’t wear makeup a lot so I can’t recommend a brand however I’ve watched a ton of tutorials. I’ve heard that foundations with SPF can cause flash back and even some setting powders can cause that as well. So their recommendation was foundations with no SPF. And maybe try a setting spray instead of powder.

Oh I didn't even think of SPF being the reason, that makes sense now! All my foundations have SPF lol

Right who would have thought? Maybe you can buy your fav foundation without the SPF and see how it work out for you. That might solve the case.

She’s correct! SPF does give flash back as well as some translucent powder.. but “drug store” make up is really stepping it up lately and YouTube is always a life saver haha I would just type in “best drugstore make up for (your skin type)”

I loved Maybelline's Fit Me. The matte version shouldn't cause flashback.

Wet n wild photofocus liquid foundation. Medium to full coverage, natural looking, doesn’t settle, no flash back. And it’s like 5-7 bucks

I don't have a particular recommendation either, but I do highly recommend watching a YouTuber named Casey Holmes! She does GREAT tutorials and does walk throughs for her favorites and products to avoid. She does entire videos on Drug Store foundations too - Highly recommend her!

I don't have a recommendation, but am on the same search! How did you find out your makeup was causing flashback? Did you take photos at home using flash? or from research? I like how my makeup looked in my engagement photos but im concerned how it will show up in wedding photos when we're in the church....

I would try the Wet N Wild photo focus liquid foundation. It blends so nicely into my skin, and matches my skin tone perfectly! However, not sure if you have oily skin, but I found even when I wear powder and setting spray on top of that foundation, I still get super oily. I have to carry oil blotting sheets with me everywhere I go! It's definitely worth a shot though since it's only like $5 or $6.
