Affordable, homebody Bachelorette party ideas?

Alyson, on April 12, 2019 at 12:51 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 17

I am not a big partier, am allergic to alcohol/wine and am not into phallic items or sexual-themed parties.

Kind of boring, I guess!

I wondered if any "homebody" types had bachelorette party ideas?

My MOH is going to help put it together, but needs ideas and I'm at a loss.

I was thinking maybe something like Dave & Busters, a mani-pedi spa day or something, but want it to be fun and affordable for everyone. (aka no out-of-state travel)

We're in Ohio, and it will be me, my MOH and 3-4 bridesmaids.

We're planning on doing something like mini golf, bowling, Dave & Busters for entertainment, dinner and a "slumber party" in a hotel room with girl time, gossip, late night food, etc. I don't get to spend a lot of time with them so I wanted to just relax and chill for anyone who wanted to stay the night.

My sister did dinner and a comedy club - so I didn't want to copy it, but it'd be a fun idea.

What are things you like to do? Painting seems a popular options although a lot of that is done with wine. Maybe a good option for those in your party that do drink, though. I'm having a sleepover with movies and pizza because I truly don't want to schedule one more thing and lounging in my jammies sounds way more fun than anything else. Nice dinner and a movie? I would say just pick something that sounds fun to you and your girls will have fun doing it with you!

That sounds fun! Thank you. Smiley smile I'm into the "going out to grab things to stay in" kind of thing.

I would totally love a Dave and Busters trip or mini golf. If you have a local theater you could do dinner and a show.

You can do dinner and a Paint Night, they have paint nights all over the place and it's fun. A spa day is always nice, for obvious reasons. Or you can have a sleep over, where y'all watch movies, eat pizza & popcorn, play games, etc.

I was thinking of doing minigolf, cooking class, or something similar. But now we're looking at a whale watching tour!

I don't have any plans for mine as of yet, but I lean more the same way you do. A friend of mine who recently got married did a flower crown making party! I thought it was a really cute and unique idea.

My FSIL is doing mine and we are staying at a hotel in a town that has like a variety of artsy stuff, super popular area in Texas. It's right up my ally. I don't drink or anything so she chose that instead. Smiley smile

We're doing Painting and Pinot and then going for sushi. I'm all for things that don't require extra effort!

Maybe a movie/spa night at home? They have a lot on Pinterest. You could do mocktails & take out sushi (or whatever) and set up DIY spa treatments with face masks, eye masks, pedicures, etc. They also have mobile spas that will come to you, if any ladies wanted to splurge for a facial or massage. Or mobile chair masseuses! These charge hourly & aren't expensive. You could also do a camping weekend, yoga or workout class, hiking day w/ a picnic? Or something like bowling, axe throwing, paint & sip class, pottery class, or go to an arcade? You could go to a spa too! Or just go to a nice dinner!

I’m also not a fan of traditional bachelorette parties. We have a couple options that I have suggested like a paint night, escape room, dinner and board games, or a concert. Anything you find interesting

What about one of those wine & paint nights (without the wine if you don't drink) or there is a Board & Brush near me (I'm in Ohio too) where you make wood crafts that could be a fun girls night.

I love these ideas about painting, minigolf, and Dave and buster's! I think any of those would be a great choice.
