Have you gone? What do you suggest? I read somewhere that Oahu was the most affordable. We want a good mix of outdoor adventure, lounge time, great food and nightlife. We really want our hotel to be ON the beach.

Aloha! My husband and I got married a couple of months ago on Maui. After much research and recommendations, we ended up utilizing a travel agent for our travel plans as well. I'm so glad we did! Utilizing a travel agent will help you get the best deals on accomodations/car/airfare/etc...plus it's nice to have someone on the island working on your behalf in case anything comes up. Our trip was perfect but it's nice to have that to fall back on! We stayed at the perfect resort for us and received an upgraded suite upon check-in. We had other family that utilized our travel agent, and they stayed at a condo. A good travel agent will work with you and help you get what best fits your needs. Our travel agent also recommended restaurants, things for us to do around the island, beaches, luaus, shopping, etc....We utilized Marie Glodt with Travel to Maui. Her website is: www.traveltomaui.net and her phone number is 808-572-4957. I highly recommend her! She was great!!! Good luck!

My husband and I got married on Maui back in 2004, and it was the best thing we could have ever done. I don't have a single regret! We used an amazing wedding planner who referred us to the same amazing travel agent that Danielle W. used--Marie Glodt, owner of Travel to Maui, who was so wonderful, we just used her again last year to go back and take our daughter. She LIVES on Maui, and she knows all of the ins and outs, has great relationships with the hotels, and was able to get us the most phenomenal deal! It was so great that my husband's co-workers didn't believe him when he told them about the deal we got--I had to send him a copy of the itinerary and receipt so he could show them! Needless to say, they ended up using her, too. Not only is she amazing at what she does, she FOLLOWS THROUGH-and has integrity--which I am sorry to say, is a rare find these days. I wouldn't DREAM of going to Hawaii without going through Marie!

Weddings are expensive, period , hands down, bottom line, unless you go to your local city hall, or elope to Vegas (Britney Spears style) lol. It really depends on your budget, the size of your wedding, and what will make you happy at the end of the day. My fiance and I always wanted to go to Hawaii and thought a wedding would be the perfect excuse to finally visit the Island. We both have small families, many of which have never been to Hawaii and wanted the opportunity to go.

Josh and I were blessed to find Marie Glodt ( a recommendation made to me by my best friend). Marie is an amazing travel agent living in Hawaii. She listened to all the details I told her and helped me organize this trip to Hawaii on my budget. She is very honest and just wants her customers to have an experience of a lifetime while respecting their budget because lets be honest , Hawaii is most definitely expensive and it's important to travel on a budget. I love Marie because she gets that fact!
