Affordable Wedding Dress

My budget was $600. My dress was $300 on sale from BHLDN. I will be spending about $400 on alterations for a hem, bustle, adding boning and an illusion back (I’m busty and the dress needed more shape and support). I can’t attach a photo but I love the way it is turning out.

Disclaimer: I had a wonderful fitting with BHLDN and received my dress quickly. However the dress went on sale within my 30 day return period, so I returned the original and reordered in the same size and the next size down. The next size down fit so I returned the larger size, having not removed it from the box. I had no issue with the first return, but then BHLDN charged me their damaged dress restock fee (on a dress I hadn’t taken out of the box). I had to fight with them and ended up having to dispute with my credit card. It eventually worked out and the last person I spoke with apologized for their bad behavior, so I’m at peace with it. There isn’t much info out there about how bad BHLDNs online/phone customer service is when stuff goes wrong, so I just want others to go in eyes wide open.

I got mine off a used wedding dress site called StillWhite.com the seller let me try on before purchase.
