Affordable Wedding Invitations?

Lynda, on November 2, 2021 at 9:26 AM Posted in Planning 4 24

Does anyone have any tips on affordable wedding invitations? My fiance and I are considering invites with a photo of us, but we want it to be affordable too. Right now, we are inviting 100+ people (though if COVID gets worse next fall, we will have to trim the guest list..) I know there's a number of sources to consider, like Shutterfly and Zazzle. We sent out "Save The Date" postcards ahead of time, but these wedding invites will not be postcards, so also factoring in cost of postage. Any suggestions that are affordable but still good quality?

Keep an eye on Magnet Street! They often have sales upwards of 75% off!

I ordered my invites from them and 100 invites for under $100 when they originally charge over $300!

I messed up on my first round of invites and left the address of the venue off them, so I'm going to have to reorder but waiting for them to do another sale.

I second Magnet Street. I ordered my save the dates and invitations from them and were extremely happy with both.

I ordered mine from Ann's Bridal Bargain. They were good quality and the cheapest I found. They're 99 cents per invite (including RSVP post card and envelopes), and they often have sales on top of that. I ordered them around November and they had a 30% off sale. They normally have a 20% off sale.

We did canva, a little less than $1 per invite, and I liked all the personalization choices.

I designed mine in Canva based on a few Etsy designs I liked, then printed them on plain heavy cardstock through Catprint (check for coupons!). They'll send you a free physical proof so you can hold the item in your hand before you officially order them (but they do have you pay for the order when you place it and they'll refund/adjust as needed after the proof phase). You can also print belly bands, vellum invitations, info cards, etc through them.

We ordered 35 save the dates and spent about $40 between Catprint and envelopes from Paper Source. I loved it!

    Good luck!

Annsbridalbargains.com is the least expensive and what I have seen is better quality than Shutterfly. There are many photo options.

I used the above website. I actually used an engagement party template and just changed the wording! There are no rules to how formal an invite should be. I was doing a backyard wedding so I wanted the invitation to show the vibe we were going for. I also ordered rsvp postcards that didn’t require an envelope.
If you’re looking for a whole suite of papers; invite, reception card, parking and directions card, rsvp card, etc.... I have not found them to be affordable anywhere.

Yes and they sell full sets with envelopes included. The other sites sell all pieces including envelopes separately if they are even offered at all.

I got a steal on black Friday at Michaels a few years ago with their all inclusive print your own kits. They were a little more work to print them but totally worth it to get 150 invites for less than $60.

I am planning to purchase a template from Etsy and went to a local printing shop to get a quote. For 160 invitations, RSVP cards, and white envelopes they're only charging me around $150 which was much cheaper than the option I was looking at on Zazzle. My invites do not have photos on them so I'm not sure how much that would effect the pricing. I would definitely suggest looking into a local business and supporting them!

We are having a small wedding in Jan 2022. Since we are in this crazy digital era where everyone has either email or Facebook messenger, I went with a Wedding website through wedding wire. The templates are so beautiful. Its literally a one stop shop for everything. Our story, RSVP list and tracker, Ceremony/receptions details, Covid-19 guidelines, accommodations, etc., and its free. All the wedding details in one place. Save the date invites were sent digitally as well. Hope this helps and Congratulations!!
