Does anyone have any tips on affordable wedding invitations? My fiance and I are considering invites with a photo of us, but we want it to be affordable too. Right now, we are inviting 100+ people (though if COVID gets worse next fall, we will have to trim the guest list..) I know there's a number of sources to consider, like Shutterfly and Zazzle. We sent out "Save The Date" postcards ahead of time, but these wedding invites will not be postcards, so also factoring in cost of postage. Any suggestions that are affordable but still good quality?

We used Zazzle and found the quality and price point to be super reasonable. We opted for a simple watercolor design on matte paper in an ordinary white envelope, so we didn't go extravagant at all, which helped keep the cost down.

Zazzle does charge shipping, but you can get a one year "Zazzle Black" membership for about $10 which we did that way we could order samples and be sure of the paper goods we wanted before doing our larger orders. Additionally Zazzle has frequent sales, so if you design your paper goods well in advance and hold out for when a sale pops up, you can save quite a bit over purchasing at the full retail price.

Zazzle shipping has gotten slower (and more inconsistent) since the pandemic so I do recommend ample lead time for ordering. Most of our orders came in well before the estimated date, but some came after.

Thank you, everyone! I have decided to go with MagnetStreet. Their free wedding samples are great, and I look forward to ordering the real invites soon.
