I need help! My fiance and I are planning a wedding and our budget for the wedding is no more than $10,000. We are inviting about 80 people and need to afford this wedding. Can you guys help with venues, hints, tips, anything that you can! Please!!! I am overwhelmed.

Try the Foundry in Long Island City or Midtown Loft and Terrace. FH and I decided on Midtown Loft and terrace. You would have to look into a caterer (FH went with Creative Foods Catering). They have a lot of options and can work with you on your budget. Since your guest list is smaller than ours(we have 180 guests) you might have luck with how much the final cost might be for these venues

Not sure if you're open to philly by you can look into The chateau. I believe it's $6000 and the decor is included .

Try to do a morning wedding ceremony and bruch/lunch reception so it will be cheaper. I have a morning wedding ceremony at a church and lunch reception.

Is that just for the reception or for the whole thing? If it's for everything, that will leave you roughly 5000.00 for 80 guests. that would be roughly 40 bucks for food before tax and service.

That cannot be done in NJ or NY.

I forgot the Garden Vista Ballroom in Passaic. Their basic wedding price is 5000 with catering, for 100. You still have to provide liquor.

my best friend (and now MOH) had a brunch wedding there in April 2013. it was a saturday and the event went from about 10am-3pm. it was absolutely gorgeous and the food and drink were delicious. (who doesn't love bacon & mimosas?!)

for a full meal and open bar the cost per person came in around $70. the venue also supplied the florals and the cake which saved them a bunch of money (and time!)

it was a great wedding, totally beautiful and absolutely affordable - without looking or feeling cheap. i couldn't recommend it more.

10K is a very doable budget. You just have to be smart about what you spend your money on. Keep it simple. I would suggest renting a space (ex: women's club, barn, art museum) and bringing catering in. Another option is to contact restaurants that have a ballroom type area and work with their menu (ex: Barnyard and Carriage House in Totowa, Brownstone in Paterson, Biagio's in Paramus are just a few off the top of my head). Do not have a sit down dinner if it is out of your budget. Try a cocktail reception, or even a brunch! All the best to you in your search. If you have any additional questions, you can send me a message Smiley smile

Hi! We're having a Sunday wedding in October in Pennsylvania. We're getting married at the John James Audubon Center-- they do their own catering so you'll be able to work with them on the whole project. If you reach out to them and tell them your budget they might be able to help you figure something out. They've been so communicative and responsive! Because ours is a Sunday wedding other vendors (photographer and DJ) have given us discounts. I think that'll happen with Fridays too. Good luck!

Bartram's Garden is like $600 for 4 hours. Definitely check out parks and recs in all the areas you're interested in, and you'll be surprised the gorgeous places you'll find
