Afraid to Become Bridezilla

Fabiana, on January 11, 2023 at 9:11 AM Posted in Planning 2 5

Good morning.

I am not sure how to prevent myself from becoming stressed about my wedding which is in 9 months. I am nervous but I don't want to deflect on other people.

What are you nervous about? Or what makes you think you'd be a "bridezilla"?

My groomsmen are moving in turtle speed. They haven't even chosen their tuxes at all.

Let your FS take care of his side. If your wedding party isn't with it, they can attend as guests.

As for your worries, bridezilla is a woman-hating term to me. Groomzillas are real. As long as the wedding couple stays within respectful communication and reasonable requests, there is no overstepping. Examples of overreach would be asking wedding party to lose weight, dictating a guest attire color scheme. Use the WW timeline as a guide and stay organized. If you and your partner are not able to do this nor wish to, you can hire a planner who will plan and execute your wedding while you sit back and enjoy.

It's still too early to be picking out tuxes. Usually they can be ordered about two months before the wedding. My husband and groomsmen did go until late June for our August wedding. Don't worry, you have plenty of time. Everything will fall into place. Don't stress out over this.

There is still plenty of time. Tuxes don't need to be ordered that far in advance. Also the bride and groom usually pick them out and just let the groomsmen know. But you will want to make sure whatever you pick is within their budget.
