African American/black Hair Stylists in Honolulu??

I dont have any suggestions, but having been to the islands many times most places are very familiar with differently textured hair. There are a lot of mixed people, a lot with very long hair, a lot with wiry hair , a lot with hair In between etc, so I think you'll have plenty of options on the island.
Honolulu is very touristy as well so lots of chain places that are also on the mainland - if they don't have an expert they may know who to refer you to...but I'd check with locals in surrounding towns first - the entire island of Oahu is touristy, however right in the heart of Honolulu you'll find things are usually more expensive as they're geared more to shoppers.

Also, kinky/coily hair is not uncommon..my friend lives on the big island and her husband is Samoan and native American, she is Hawaiian and between the two of them they got some crazy hair! He gets his hair braided quite frequently, so I know there are shops just not off the top of my head in Honolulu :/
