Thoughts on after parties? What does everyone have planned? We are considering it but unsure.

We didn't have one but the handful that stayed at the end wanted to go to the bar after for drinks. So you could do something like that, even

Our reception will end around midnight but we’re still doing an “after party” at our hotel’s bar.

My thought is I’d rather have a welcome party to spend time with people and meet and greet, but afterward I will have no energy to plan or deal with that and just want to spend time with my husband

No after party for us. We can go out and party with our friends anytime, we will only have one wedding night and we'd prefer to spend it alone.

We need to be out of our venue by 10:30pm, so we have an open invite for anyone who wants to join us downtown for some bar hopping.

Because our wedding is early in the day we are having an after party. We are planning to go to a bar/restaurant with karaoke so we can continue the fun.

We’re renting a karaoke room at our favorite arcade/bar. We know our friends will want to go but pretty sure family will want to go to bed.

FH and I initially planned to have an after party with anyone we know who couldn’t make the invite list due to venue constraints, but now we’re thinking that we will be so dead after the wedding, so we are reconsidering.

Our wedding was yesterday. We originally did not have plans for an afterparty. However, guests staying at our hotel brought alcohol and, since we had a suite (Marriott so kindly upgraded us for free!), we ended up hosting it since we had a whole separate living room. We were exhausted but has fun. We changed out of our wedding attire before people came though.

Since our reception ends early (6pm), I suspect someone will suggest going to a local bar. FH & I don’t drink but may put in an appearance if an after party does develop.

Our reception ends at 9 and our hotel offers a free room/setup for food for an afterparty. So were just doing pizza and ice cream!

Our reception ended at 4:30 on Friday afternoon, so we’ve booked a “private” party at a local pub. We’re going to have heavy apps (like sausage rolls, sliders, arancini balls etc) and hook up an iPod. We’ll be changing out of our fancy cloths first, and our team is planning that night so the game will be on. If we stay long enough they have a piano player that comes in later in the evening that takes requests and stuff. Im really looking forward to it!

We are allowed to use the fire pit at our venue after the reception ends, which is 10:00, so if we do anything it will just be to sit by the fire and maybe have a couple of drinks.

We’re having an after party. We both agreed not to drink too much during our reception so we don’t look like sloppy messes. Our venue has an after party with open bar and they offer wings, quesadillas, and Stromboli’s until 2am after our 11pm end of reception time.

Our reception ended at midnight. There was no need for an after party! Smiley smile After being up since 6am and going NON STOP all day, once midnight rolled around and we had to make sure everything was out before 1am, we were DONE and just wanted some time to ourselves! Don't get me wrong, partying all day was fun, but even if we planned an after party of some kind, we would have canceled it because...wedding night lol
