After-Wedding weekend getaway ideas

I am looking for a nice romantic place for my FH and I to go for the weekend after our wedding. I'm a teacher so I can't go on a honeymoon right away but definitely don't want to go back home the weekend after our wedding day. We live in NJ and would like to go someplace that we can get to by car, so within the northeast, for two nights. Our wedding is on a friday and I have to be back at work tuesday. Any suggestions are appreciated

Mystic or Newport, especially with the foliage, the surroundings themselves are beautiful, but add the change of seasons and omg. Also, Lancaster PA. They have some amazing B&Bs there, quaint shops and towns (Amish) and surprisingly some vineyards too!

In the fall the finger lakes are very pretty. There are a lot of nice B&Bs on Cayuga or Seneca lake. There's a wine trail on each. If you choose Cayuga- Ithaca (at the bottom of the lake) has a lot of hiking and nature trails. There's also a 'beverage trail' around Cooperstown ny which has quite a few breweries; As well as the baseball hall of fame.
