Airbrush makeup vs traditional

Mary, on December 10, 2017 at 9:11 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 16

Alright I need some help! My wedding is less than a month away and I still haven't secured makeup. Can someone tell me if the airbrush is really worth it? What experience does everyone have with it? I've heard from a few people that it photographs bad? Any input would be great!

    Our photographer actually recommended air brush make up, FWIW.

    We got airbrush for my SILs wedding and the photos were great! I would recommend it.

    I did airbrush for my wedding and so did 3 of my bridesmaids. I think we looked great all night. I also can't tell the difference in photos with my bridesmaids who didn't have airbrush. But for me personally, my skin is very oily and I get very red in uncomfortable situations, when I'm drinking, or too hot, and none of this showed through at all.

    It doesn't really matter with a good artist can make traditional make up look just as flawless. And airbrush is not so good if you are very oily or have fine lines

    I did airbrush and it held up the entire night despite me crying multiple times.

    I hear amazing things about airbrush. My MUA uses it and I am so excited to check it out! I cannot wait for my trial in April.

    @Megan, ours did too!

    We did airbrush for my wedding and it was incredible! It photographed beautifully and felt like I had no make up on. I had never tried it before my trial but I love it now!

    There is no substitute in airbrush for pictures. Do it. You won't regret it.

    I did airbrush in my MOH's wedding because it was in August outdoors and I didn't like the way it looked, at least on me.

    For our wedding my MUA said we wouldn't need it because of the season. She said she only recommends it if it will be warm and you risk sweating off the makeup.

    My MUA offers both with an extra fee for airbrush. Everyone I know who got it, loved it.

    How does it work for someone who is usually allergic to makeup? Mom and I are gonna do a trial with Clinique to see if I can wear it since it claims to be hypo-allergenic but I usually. Real out for make up and all perfumes either brake me out or set off my asthma

    I prefer airbrush because it's a lighter layer on your skin that stays all day, rather than traditional makeup that can cake. Many professionals offer airbrush or traditional for the same price or within $10 in CT from what I'm researching, what is the difference where you are?

    I always do traditional when I go out (using pro MUAs), but for my wedding I did airbrush. 10/10 would do airbrush again. It felt much lighter (and the MUA I use for when I go out doesn't give me much foundation to begin with), and didn't leave my face looking oily/shiny.

    This is a photo from my wedding - I had airbrush makeup. 100% would do it again. It felt super light and it held up all day (12+ hours). I think it photographs just fine Smiley smile
