Has anyone tried airbrush makeup? Like or dislike? I have heard it does not sweat off, and I am getting married in August and it will be HOT in NE! Need advice please.....

Loved it. It all depends on the skill of the MUA.

I used airbrush makeup and it stayed on all day/night! I don't usually wear makeup so was worried about makeup sweating off too, but it stayed and felt nicer than normal makeup.

It is ultimately going to come down to how good you makeup artist is. As a MUA I don't use airbrush on my clients. I do however recommend Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. It truly does last all day, rain or shine!

Yeah when I was getting quotes for make up artists, I asked her if she did airbrush makeup, and she told me that she didn't, and that black brides usually didn't need it nor did they ask for it because our skin is already pretty even ???

I was confused because 1.--I mostly wanted airbrush for the longevity, not the flawlessness (though that was certainly a plus), and 2-- I had never heard of black brides as a general group not wanting airbrush. That just made me think she didn't know how to do airbrush, and she wanted me not to want it so that I would book with her. Needless to say I found a fantastic MUA who does beautiful airbrush work on black brides Smiley smile

I have heard so many great things about airbrush makeup and it looks incredible. I am sad because I don't know if I should do it since I have dry skin.

Could you try it early maybe for a trial? I hate airbrush makeup, I've had it done twice. I have acne scars and dry skin, so I felt like the makeup clung to my imperfections. I asked the makeup lady to fix it and she sprayed moisturizer on but then I looked wet. I really hate it. But the girls with smooth skin looked great! So I think it can go either way.

Wow, I'm glad you went with someone else because her answer is sketchy. I mean, if you can't do it, just say you can't do it. No need to make things up. I know a lot of black women, myself included, that do not have even skin.

    Ridiculous.

I tested it out with my trial and LOVED it. Especially if you're prone to less-than-perfect skin, it's amazing. The one stipulation my HMUA told me that if you have very dry skin or are over 35, it may not settle as well.

I am personally prepping my skin with airbrush cosmetics so it can last all day and have a nice dewy effect rather than an all matte look. It for sure feels lightweight very natural look.

It went well. Didn’t feel like I had a lot of make up . However it took a little longer than I thought so I was running late and didn’t get many pics. I will sent the one I have just don’t judge...... lol!!!! I’m anxious to have the airbrush done to see what I like better. What did you decide?? Sorry for the neglect in posting but my stepmom has been quite ill and had to place her in a long term care facility...... 😪

Oh, I hope your stepmom is okay! And I totally won't judge.

I decided on the traditional makeup. It lasted longer and looked more natural and she was sooo cool and laid back. I'll be changing the lipstick and asking her to adjust just a couple colors though (which she said she would totally do).

The airbrush feels so cool when it's being applied! Just you wait! Smiley laugh

You all looks so great in your airbrush makeup! I am looking forward to having mine done. I won't be having a trial so I'll be winging it on my wedding day. Luckily it's my 2nd marriage so it's not quite as stressful for me as the 1st....
