Airbrush tattoo coverup!

Arzo, on August 24, 2019 at 3:28 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 5
So i have 2 tattoos one on my right upper shoulder and one on my back left that I’ve been doing laser removal for. Their still black and noticeable and i totally regret getting them. For my wedding i want them covered for sure. I want to wear something a little reveling and am freaking out about the tats. My family and FH family are super conservative (i was rebellious growing up) and only him and my sisters know about the tats and i don’t want anyone else. Till these r fully removed by laser has anyone had any success with tattoo coverup. Their in black ink and I’m olive skinned. I been hearing about airbrush but want other people’s feedback who have been in this position. Much appreciated!

I was planning to cover mine up but eventually didn't. So what I did was went to Sephora and they did a sample on me and showed em the products they used. If you've a make up artist you could also have em do a trial on you.

I know Kat Von D has a line that is geared towards tattoo coverups. I know they carry it at Sephora, but not sure of anywhere else. As the pp said I would just go into Sephora and chat with someone there. Good luck!

I’m using Dermablend. I got mine from Ulta. The trial run with it was great. It was full coverage and didn’t rub off at all. I think it’s a 16 hour wear.

Welcome to the WeddingWire community, Arzo Smiley smile

I’ve heard great things about the Dermablend also!

Are you hiring a makeup artist for your wedding? I would definitely speak with him/her about airbrush cover up and see if it’s possible to have a trial before the wedding day Smiley smile

If you’re still searching for a HMUA, it’s possible to filter by ‘Tattoo Coverage’ under ‘Makeup Services’ on the WeddingWire vendor directory - Wedding Hair & Makeup.

Have you booked a HMUA yet?

A combination of color correcting and airbrush should do the trick. Ask your makeup artist, but it can definitely be done.

If you're more of a DIY gal, Hard Candy glamoflauge is a really good affordable option, just be sure to color correct and set with powder. If it's only black ink, you can cover it with a red based concealer followed by the glamoflauge.
