I am IN LOVE with the idea of a garland (photos below) down my aisle, and it fits perfectly with our rustic/wooded theme. Our venue offers "ceremony decor" but it's this awful tulle and/or chiffon draping with pedestals and vases every few rows. (Not to offend anyone, I know this looks lovely for some people's weddings, but it's just not at all how I envision mine!)
I asked my florist for some quotes and he said about $400 - $500 because of the amount of labor that is involved. While I respect his work and prices, that is just way more than I can spend for something I'll see for 30 seconds each way, and there's not a ton of ways to repurpose it later.
Does anyone have any suggestions for alternatives or ways I can do this cheaper? I love the greenery aspect of it. I can always do hanging flowers or clusters, but I just wanted something a little different. Also, the ceremony is on flagstones, so I can't stake anything into the ground. Fingers crossed for WW to come through!!!
