Aisle Design Help needed !

BoatBride2014, on January 30, 2013 at 9:19 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 12

Hello Ladies,

I need your help I want to do clear pedestals with centerpieces on top for the aisle. My issue is my church aisle is 60ft long and I'm not sure how many I need. I was thinking either 6 or 8 ,not sure. How many would you suggest for such a design. #inspiration photo attached

Also my church won't allow flame candles, so I was going to but round cylinders with LED floating candles .(like below) The cheapest that is coming out to is $40.00 each pedestal. I really don't want to spend that much. Do you ladies have any other suggestions or ideas for the inside. TIA

Either idea is nice, but the white pillars are a little heavy and may be in the way of your ceremony, especially if the aisles are narrow. Just do one at the beginning of altar the other by the entrance of the aisle and then do your tall cylinder vases in between. If you do 7 on each side and then attach paper garland or thick ribbon or crystal-like garland to "connect" them, it will give a nice illusion that you have more than you do. Get at least 16" in height for the vases. They have them at Wholesale Floral for about $10.

Obviously, folks will enter the aisle at the extreme right or left, so have an usher there for assistance. I like the colorful flowers down the aisle like pictured, so you should do that in real or fake flowers. Go to: http://www.WholesaleFloral.com/Cylinder_Glass_Vase_5x20_p/glwd520.htm

I'm using clear pedestals and i will have 2 large arrangements at the altar. I didn't want a big arrangement at the beginning of the aisle. My church won't allow me to use candles with water on the actual floor.

Also found this one, very simple and can use LED lights.

& since the aisle is so long I would would think 6 to 8 aisle for the pedestal idea.

To save money you should try renting the pillars and decor. There are a lot of great websites out there and even some floral shops in your area allow you to renting things such as that for a reasonable price.

Check with area rental stores, they probably can help you design something like you want and within the limits of what your church allows and for much cheaper than buying ( a place like Elegant Beginnings). We found that renting most of our decor is going to save us a LOT of money compared to purchasing everything

I am renting the pedestals from a local vendor for 45.00 each. It's the pricing they are giving me to add a small floral arrangement and candles is ridiculous. I thought to myself I can so do that myself. I just need help deciding out how many I need.

You can see how many rows they skipped per column on this one.

Revisit the church you will be having your wedding at. Count how many pews there are and then maybe put the pedestal arrangements every 2 rows or ever 4 rows so on so forth.

If you're guest won't fill up the entire church I would have minimal decor towards the back and more towards the front.

Good luck! The ideas look gorgeous Smiley smile
