Aisle Length

Maureen, on April 9, 2019 at 6:16 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 4

Hi all!

I have asked my florist and the venue I am not sure if they are understanding my question...

I am doing some DIY aisle decorations. I need the measurement of the aisle length for banquet chairs to be lined up theater style for about 75-110 people.

They suggest 75ft but that is the length of the entire room, I just need measurements of the chairs being lined up. Please help! Going for this look :

garlandAisle Length 1

Please HELP if you have any idea on the length!

Thank you ❤️

That depends on how many chairs you’ll have in a row.
Once you figure this out, calculate number of rows you will have. Typically chairs are placed 36” from each other (back of one chair to back of the other chair in front = 36”). Once you calculate that multiply by 2 & that’s your total length for all chairs for two sides of the aisle, and that’s how much garland you’ll need (if garland is only for the chairs).

Daughter's wedding was set up with 104 guests (with another 14 people standing at the altar). There were 7 rows total on both sides of the aisle. The back 5 rows had 8 chairs on each side and the front 2 rows had 6 chairs on each side. The aisle runner was 50' long. The florist did petals along each side of the aisle runner and a total of 8 chair decorations (a small floral with long ribbons) that were placed on the outside edge of the aisle chairs on each side, for rows 1, 3, 5, & 7.
