Aisle runner alternative?

Kena, on March 4, 2018 at 8:27 AM Posted in Style and DĂ©cor 0 8
Hey ladies!.. I have a dilemma. I am a diy bride and my venue is a blank canvas which I love because the possibilities are endless 😍. However, I would like to do away with the aisle runner but I'm having a difficult time coming up with something to take it's place. Did anyone opt out of the whole aisle runner situation? If so what did you come up with instead? Any ideas would be great! Let's see your alternative

I've been to several weddings without an aisle runner. Of those, they usually had some sort of flowers to mark the aisle.

Not doing an aisle runner, having flowers in mason jars along the aisle.

I’m doing flower petals lining the aisle, like this.

Everytime I think of an aisle runner I think of a major trip hazard. While they look gorgeous, it just worries me- I might be a little biased though because I’m such a klutz! Lol but I agree with PP, lining the aisle with petals or flowers is a great alternative!

I was recently in a wedding where the aisle runner wasn’t adhered to the ground properly and everyone was stubbling, so the DOC had to yank it, luckily right before my turn. So I can understand your concern!

I'm planning on getting a bulk order of fake rose petals (I won't have a flower girl) and having them poured over the aisle-- light tassel chord at the beginning so guests sit down from the other end of the chairs.

I have an indoor vendor and they do not recommend a runner because they have a slick floor and the runner makes it worse. does anyone have any other options? I am not sure about placing flowers on the floor because I would think the guest would trip over then getting to their seat. I need help.
