Aisle runner

Kelly, on February 5, 2021 at 12:26 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 9
Hi ladies!

How do we feel about an aisle runner for outdoors on a patio? It’s a bit extra $$ for me but i want anyone walking down the aisle to feel safe. The patio at my venue seems to be pretty even. Do i really need it to prevent someone tripping? Or do we feel that it makes people trip even more? Here is a link to a photo of venue

Thanks! Kelly

I don’t think you need it- that walkway is perfect. I can see people tripping even more.

I personally think it would be more hazardous since you can't see what's underneath the runner. If I were wearing heels, I'd make an effort to avoid the cracks, but I can't really do that with a runner.

I wouldn't add a runner. The walkway is a nice design, and I think putting a runner over the cracks could cause more tripping than without!

I agree with everyone else that having a runner is more of a trip hazard than not having one.

I think the runner actually creates more of an opportunity for a potential fall or trip. It might just be me, but I kind of think they are becoming less common these days.

If the walkway is perfect, leave it as is. No need for an aisle runner. Runners actually create falls.

I vote for no runner. The walk way is pretty and I think the runner will take away from that.

I also agree that having the runner would actually make it more likely that someone is going to fall. The other issue with a runner is you'd have to find some way to secure it so it wouldn't bunch up or blow away.

Agree with everyone else, but also, a runner is usually placed after everyone has been seated and is reserved for the bride (not that that always works out), but yea. Save the money, ditch the runner Smiley smile
