Alcohol Amount Help

Maddie, on April 20, 2021 at 7:23 PM Posted in Planning 1 5
My fiancé has an algorithm for the the alcohol amounts for our wedding and swears we will have enough, but I’m still worried. Here’s what we have for 200 guests:
1 keg
6 cases of beer 1 12 bottle case of white wine 2 12 bottle cases of red wine (So 36 bottles total) 5 handles whiskey5 handles vodka 5 handles rum
We are thinking we will have more liquor drinkers than beer and wine. What do y’all think?

The only thing that seems off to me is 1 keg for 200 people, but we’re Irish and kill a keg at Easter with 12 ppl 😳. Some people may strictly only be beer drinkers so you could run out of your quicker than anticipated. Everything else sounds like plenty!

BevMo or other chain liquor stores will help and double check your estimates.

I think that’s plenty. We went through our guest list & tallied up our beer, mixed & wine drinkers. There’s a alcohol calculator we used to figure out how much to buy.

If it were me, depending on your crowd, I would add more beer, another 12 bottles of white, and more liquor. We will probably have about the same amount of alcohol as you’ve listed for our 120pax wedding (our crowd get lit at weddings lol).

I’m struggling with this too, but when in doubt buy more! There is no greater buzzkill than a party going dry. It doesn’t go bad so if you have too much you could save it and not have to buy alcohol for years to come or you could return to the store.
