Alcohol at Bridal Shower

I have seen some mention (on Pinterest and things) of people serving mimosas, champagne, or some sort of champagne/wine punch at a bridal shower. I, personally, have not been to many showers. I have seen some mention (on Pinterest and things) of people serving mimosas, champagne, or some sort of champagne/wine punch at a bridal shower. I, personally, have not been to many showers. And most of the ones I did attend, were in my childhood (so I wouldn't have noticed alcohol). I am hosting a shower for my best friend and have been going back and forth on whether to have it as an option for a beverage. Did you have alcohol served at your shower/showers you hosted?

    I have never been to a shower without alcohol, lol. Typically its an alcoholic punch and/or wine/sangria. My shower was a brunch shower so there was a mimosa, bloody mary, and screwdriver bar for guests!

    I have never been to one that had alcohol. Lol even if they did I might not of drank. I really hope they have it at mine. We are doing my shower and then doing the bach party.

    Yes.. my favors for the shower are mini pink Moscato bottles

    For my daughter, the theme was a luau, so I made Mai Tais and Blue Hawaii's. So yes, alcohol at a shower is fine, and in many cases expected by guests.

    I would limit the selection to one or two things.

    I think it it also depends on your social group? My mom and her friends (as well as my own) are all 'drinkers'. so my mom is bringing different alcohols, mixers, and garnishes... I am sure we will have champaign at my shower, but most of the women attending are vodka/tequila drinkers... call it 'tacky' or 'nontraditional' ..... It's really preference
