Alcohol … Help!!!!

Kelly, on June 15, 2021 at 7:54 PM Posted in Planning 1 5
Hey everybody I'm getting married at Spinelli's wedding venue in comfort texas and we're on a budget so we were going to do the bring your own alcohol and pay for bartenders and security but it seems like no matter the option I pick everything is just expensive and I don't know what to do. Can somebody please help me and lay this out a little bit easier to understand what are all the options? Did anybody else get married at Spinelli's? What did y'all do? Our wedding date is only three months away in September… And I am racking my brain trying to figure this out. Thanks so much!

You can do wine and beer only. That tends to be a cheaper option. You try TotalWine to order from online they offer competitive pricing and I believe you can return whatever you don’t use.

BYOB can be just as expensive as bar options from venue. Stick to beer and wine but make sure you have enough.

As others have said, do beer and wine only. That will save you a lot of money. Also, Total Wine is a great place to buy your alcohol from. You can buy in bulk there and their prices are typically very reasonable. And as Rebelle mentioned, you can return any unopened alcohol for a full refund.

There are drink calculators online where you can put your guest count in and it will tell you how much beer and wine you need to purchase based on your guest count and they type of drinkers they are. I would check that out, then price it. As AJ said, in the end, it will likely be around the same price as purchasing your own and hiring bar tenders & security.

Agreed about checking out Total Wine! FH and I had a consultation with them last weekend and they used this drink calculator (linked) to help us figure out how much to order, they'll work within your budget/provide recommendations, and you can return anything unopened. Our estimate ended up being $800 for 125 people for 4 hours while most caterers in our area that provide alcohol packages charge like $45/person (AKA over $5,500!)
