All inclusive or nah?

Veronica, on May 22, 2019 at 3:14 PM Posted in Planning 0 16
Ok So I just got engaged and my sister and I are already on the hunt for the perfect venue. I know they get booked up quickly so I want to book one and save my date. My question is, should I book the all inclusive venue I found or keep looking? This is the first venue I looked at and I fell in love! The price includes: wedding planner, day of planner, ceremony, reception, catering, bar tender (we bring the alcohol), dj, all flower arrangements, bridal and groom suites to get ready, the cake/desert, the setup decorations, the tear down, 11hours on day of, 1 1/2 reception the day before...
Its a lot that is included and I’m not sure if I should try and piece everything together or if I should just book this place because it’s so convenient to have everything already done. What are your thoughts? Has anyone done and all inclusive venue???

I had to make this decision early on as well. The all-inclusive is so attractive as an option, because it translates to less stress for us (usually)!! However, I choked over the cost. So, to make my decision, I priced out what it would cost at a venue that was NOT all-inclusive. Once I did that, I realized that it would be less expensive for us to piece it out. However, we did find a venue that has the catering and bar included, and they take care of all the tables, chairs, linens, dishes, glasses, flatware, etc. What is not included, and I had to find and book myself was the DJ, photographer, dessert person (not doing traditional cake), and officiant. It was a bit more work for me, but in the end it's costing less than the all-inclusive venue.

So, you just need to figure out what you can afford, and if this venue will allow you everything you want for your wedding.

Mine is all inclusive and my best friend is getting married a month after and hers is not inclusive and shes having a really hard time budgeting she also has to set up and break down morning of and night of the wedding.
Our wedding planner has done everything for us it has been so nice and easy and we dont have to worry about anything

Ours is all-inclusive! When we priced it out the DIY venue was not less-expensive enough to warrant the stress. Yes we had more direct control over how every single penny was spent but we would’ve ended up saving maybe a few hundred dollars .

Im soooo happy with the choice to go all-inclusive.

Ours is semi-inclusive. As in they provide the set up for chairs, food, tables, the partition that will be in place for my ceremony and reception, bar and bar tenders. They also have 3 approved caterers to pick from, one I don't like (had them at a friend's wedding) so that leaves 2 so it makes it easier. The only set up thing we have to do is my cake table, provide them with centerpieces (I will probably be checking to make sure they are how I want them lol), a pre-lit arch that will be assembled by my dad, and favors. I did have to find a DJ, photographer, officiant and hair person. But i am happy they do the majority of set up. I think even with that, I will be making sure it's how I want it.

We found an all inclusive venue and it was the best decision we made! The only outside vendors I needed to arrange were cake, flowers, DJ, and photographer.

We booked ours 15 months in advance, it was the first venue we toured. We ended up touring 5 in a month, and looked at 30+ online. Ours isn't all inclusive, it was a lot of work. So if you have the time & organization to do so, you'll be fine with a venue that isn't all inclusive.

Our venue is all inclusive and it is ending up saving us about $1500 in total. We originally had a different venue (not all inclusive) and then we switched to our current venue because of the ease of not having to book outside vendors and additional cost savings. The only thing we have to book that doesn’t come with the venue is the photographer. Although the venue does have a preferred photographer that they work with. All inclusive was definitely the way to go for us.

We went with the all inclusive! Mainly because I plan all the time at work and I wanted someone else to do our wedding lol and I was completing my master's degree (I'm done now with a lot of free time, which I'm dedication to working out!). We only had to find our photographer (although one is included in another package they had, but did not like her work), videographer, officiant, make up and hair and favors (maybe). Literally everything else is included!!

Mine included coordinator, alcohol, food, linens, cleanup, tableware, centerpieces, and some other decorations and it just made everything soooo much easier. I feel like I've barely done anything to plan my wedding since it was mostly all included! It was a huge weight taken off of me.

All inclusive! Ours came with the simple, cheap options for DJ, photography, cake, flowers, and limo. We did upgrade our dj since it was just a one man dj for the reception so we had to spend another $1000 for the mc, cocktail hour music, and ceremony music which is not a lot compared to if we didn’t do all inclusive.

Ours is mostly all-inclusive. They had 3 packages that included everything except for attire to one that included the basic. We went with basic because we have DJ, florist & officiant already. The venue covers everything else including cake, food & booze, setup/breakdown and decor.

We totally went with the all-inclusive package! Most wedding venues around my area are inclusive for ceremony + reception, food & drink already, but this one that we found offered so much more!

Besides those components, they also included all the seating, a cake, and a DJ. They will also include floral centerpieces and an officiant for an upgraded package too. It really helps save a bunch of stress because it's that many vendors that I don't need to worry about finding. They also have a preferred photographer who works with them, and if you booked the photographer, the fees would be rolled into your venue bill.

The pricing was also comparable to similar places that DIDN'T include all those extras, so I find that we are actually saving some money.

Cristy - Thank you for all your info!! This was very helpful to making my decision. I ended up pricing it out like you said, and even though it might be a little more expensive to do the inclusive we can still afford it!
