Hello! TGIF!

Fh and I are touring two possible venues this weekend, and they couldn't be more opposite. One is a mostly all inclusive golf course (just need dj, florals, and photography) and one is a museum where we would have to hire vendors for everything, including tables and chairs, linens, dishes, glassware, catering, the whole shebang.

Both venues are around the same price, though the more inclusive is a little bit lower price.

Stylistically, I think I like the museum a little more, but Im wondering if it's worth the hassle to try to bring everything in ourselves.

What was your experience with mostly inclusive vs. hire all the vendors yourself?

All inclusive are stress free but often times more expensive and leaves out the option for a lot of individuality. We learned in the first month of planning that it would cost us at least 35,000 to have an all inclusive wedding with things done the way we wanted them. So we decided to get married at my church(free) and find a nice venue that allowed outside vendors. We have hired the majority of our vendors and we are at $7500 of a $15000 budget. The rest of the money will used for a very nice honeymoon. Oh and I hired a wedding planner to do all the work for me, she finds things and I just yay or nay it.

I chose semi all-inclusive over DIY because I knew it would be easier and less stressful in the end. Our venue does the catering, provides servers/bartenders, day of set up and tear down, and tables/chairs/dinnerware/silverware etc. We realized with the DIY type venues we would have to make sure everything came in day of was set up and then torn down before the end of the night. We opted for the less stressful option so that we can relax the day of the wedding.

ETA: our costs would have probably came out about the same. Our chosen venue is wonderful, but it's not like my dream location. We traded ease and price for an ideal space (in my opinion). But you know what...I'm totally okay with it. The venue is still beautiful and the day will be wonderful!
