Savvy April 2021

Already Anxious

I literally booked our wedding on Wednesday for April 10th, 2021 and then the next day stuff starts shutting down and the world has changed so much. I know it’s over a year away but can’t help to feel complete panic if this will impact our wedding and even how this impacts stuff like shopping for a dress this year and whatnot. Really can’t wait for this nightmare to end.

I’m panicking too and mine is in September. I’m really hoping this all goes away enough for people to be out without being absolutely terrified

I think 2021 brides will be fine. Or at least won't be heavily impacted by this.

You may be impacted by something else, but that's just how the world works. My date is in June, got engaged last May. Had no idea anything like this would happen so close to our wedding.

I would not worry. China's daily new cases have really lowered now. We haven't hit the worst of it yet (in North America) but eventually it will calm down like it is in China. It's not going to take until 2021 for that to happen. I would shop for your dress sooner than later though.

I'm hurt by your post. Maybe each out to other brides that have their wedding this week like me or next month and be sympathetic. You are over a year away and to say the least you will be fine. I'm devastated over here and been crying my eyes out since now we have to postpone. We were days, 7 DAYS away before our venue made us postpone. I'm utterly shocked and completely sad. So yes have some sympathy for others.

That’s not my intention at all and have personal friends with weddings this month who were effected and truly feel for EVERYONE. It’s a sucky situation for all and no one predicted this was coming. I am simply stating that mentally I am very anxiety ridden about not knowing what’s going to happen this year and wanted to express my feelings. That is all.

Its not something you can know, but at least you know that time is on your side. When I booked my wedding last February, I had no way of knowing something like this could happen. Everyone is panicked about this right now but it will pass. If you're worried about time, move all of your timelines up a couple months so that you have some extra buffer time. I'm not saying you can't worry, but you never know what will happen, that's just life. Just try to take a breath and remember that you are lucky enough to have the luxury of time.
