Alternating centerpiece, yes or no?

Summer, on March 7, 2018 at 6:21 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 9

I'd like to do gold lanterns surrounded by white flower wreaths, but also have clusters of dark blue and aqua wine bottles and gold vases with white flowers in them. The latter arrangement should be a little cheaper per table, so I'd like to do both and alternate, half the tables getting each arrangement. Does that sound okay or is that too much going on?

I would just do the bottles and vases, cuz I think bottle vases and lanterns are too much and not cohesive. Lanterns to me are for whimsy type weddings.

It sounds like too much is going on and each one is a completely different style. I like the lantern with white flower wreath idea. That sounds simple and elegant.

I'm alternating 3 types of centerpieces: tall flowers, short flowers and rose gold lanterns.... all with some eucalyptus and small candles. I think alternating and various heights makes the room look more interesting. Though my non-floral centerpieces are all the same so a bit different from your idea. Still I like the alternating look!

Yes! All of our centerpieces are different in some way shape or form. I love the look, it feels so much more personal and curated.

I'm so torn you guys! Seems like you all are too lol. I think I may just go lanterns and wreaths and then I won't be obsessing whether it'll look weird..:/

I am doing alternating, and I think they complement each other but they're definitely different. They'll be similar due to the same greenery laid around them.

I plan on doing centerpieces differently but staying within the color scheme of purple and coral. Each CP will represent something about me or the groom and have a tag hanging thanking our guests for sharing on our special day. On the reverse side of that tag will be a brief fact of myself or the groom that explains the purpose/meaning of the centerpiece. It will keep our guests busy and get to know us better.
