I'm trying to cut the costs of our wedding in any way possible. One way we decided to do this was to send our RSVP cards that indicate the number of seats reserved for each family/couple and then the options that they can take to RSVP. I don't have to pay for stamps or worry about mail getting lost/not returned/etc. Plus, I got to design this and make it look however I wanted Smiley smile

I'm not sure if anyone will comment about this, but I do have both mine and FH's numbers listed below the "call" option on our actual RSVPs.

*EDIT: I've changed the original picture that I had for this design. I don't need any lawsuits on my hands lol. AND I've made the changes suggested by FutureMrs... I think the wording works better for this Smiley smile

I like this idea! We are RSVPing via online using the site RSVPify https://rsvpify.com/login/

I like this idea and wish we cold do it to save on cost. Some of our guest are older adults who don't know how to use the internet and I don't have the time to be swamped with calls. Knowing my luck they will call when I am in the middle of class or taking an exam and I will have a ton of voice messages to deal with. My RSVP's will be due right in the middle of midterms LOL. I love your RSVP cards they are very nice. Good Luck and Happy Planning.

@Susan I definitely learned something new there haha thanks. I'm sure we'll still be making edits to these up until we send them out, but we may opt to keep it just because the text and white space ratio in the card looks better with the word "please" in there.

@Maggie I completely understand not wanting to deal with the calls during that time! Midterms can be crazy. I'm thinking this idea will turn out well for our situation though. Good luck with your wedding planning too! Smiley smile

I love your idea! Mostly because I did the same. I have ordered my invites (even though they are not going out until mid-September (our due date will give us enough time to call people before the holiday season starts up) for our February wedding.

We were going to do the "we have reserved _ seats in your honour" but then decided against it. This is due to the fact that we decided if we invite a family of four but only 2 of those family members can make it, we didn't want them inviting other people (maybe, even people we really didn't know or did not really want at our wedding). We will be writing the names of those invited on the inner envelope and then when they go to RSVP on the weddingwire website, they will only be able to RSVP for the people that we have prewritten on our guest list.

I attached mine below (the red box is our personal info)

@Natalie actually writing out who is invited it a great idea! It would definitely help eliminate any unwanted/unplanned guests!

@Kierst Nicole, could you put "RSVP options" instead of "Please RSVP"? I see the space thing, and I get it, but it's like saying ATM Machine, just very redundant. My former tech writer self is cringing. Although I love the idea of not having to pay for postage on the RSVP cards...wish I owuld have thought of that!

@Doublej079 I like rephrasing as "options". Thanks for the suggestion!
