Alternative to who gives this bride

We had a Catholic ceremony and the bride is not given away (one of the requirements is that we must both enter willingly and being given away goes against that). So even though my dad walked me down the isle and handed me off, there was nothing said. He just placed my hand in my husbands hand.
Just an idea, maybe get some other ideas going.

I think you can ask what you want to ask or say. I am walking myself and having the pastor skip the part of who is giving away the bride aha because... I GIVE MYSELF AWAY ahah. So think of what works best for you, it is your wedding so you can modify the script how you want

Perhaps they could say "Who presents this bride..." or "Who accompanies this bride..." if you don't want to totally give up having them say something.

View Quoted Comment Lol same here. No one is “giving me away”. I am allowing my parents to walk me half way down, then I will kiss them and bid them farewell and finish the walk alone. I give myself away too! Haha
