Am i crazy for having a morning wedding?

So I picked my wedding date without realizing it’s a Friday. Is it crazy to have my wedding on a Friday morning?

I don’t think so! We are having a destination wedding with an 11:00 a.m. time on a Monday. Not exactly the time I’d choose, but my son and his fiancé have to get back to IU that night - there is no way I’d have my wedding without them there! No worries!

Were getting married on a Friday at 3:30. Id say 10am might be somewhat tough, you might get some declines....but alot of people might take thay opportunity to make it into a 3 day weekend! Its all what you want. If you think your immediate family will be able to make then youre good! Some people might miss the ceremony, but make it to the reception

Not crazy, but I do think you’ll get more declines for a Friday morning wedding than a Friday evening wedding. Some people don’t have a lot of PTO, and it may be difficult to get off all day (rather than leaving work 2 or 3 hours early).

If you're not set on a morning wedding, I would definitely do an evening wedding instead for a Friday, just makes it a lot easier for your guests who work the normal M-F. If you are set on a morning wedding, I would just be prepared for some people not to attend. Especially if they're traveling, because they would have to take off Thursday and Friday so they could travel to be there the night before the wedding.

Not crazy, but I would be prepared for maybe more declines than you’d originally thought. The people who really want to be there will try their hardest!

I think you'll have a few more "no" RSVPs than you would a Friday night or any time Saturday or Sunday. I think regardless you'll have more nos on a Friday than you would on a weekend, and you might have a harder time getting the wedding party for rehearsal and RD if they have to take off work Thursday and Friday. You'll also have to start getting ready a lot earlier.

Crazy? no. some guests will miss your wedding due to their work schedules though. I would try to attend for a close friend or family member but right now, for example, I am saving my PTO for my wedding so I would have to miss it. Guests in similar situations or who don't have paid time off and can't afford to miss work may also skip it.

Do whatever you want it's your day....We are getting married on a Saturday at 2:30. Alot of our guests are from out of town, so we have decided to start at 2:30 and end at 7...

I’ve contemplated it too I would like 10/23, but that’s a Friday as well so I think I’m gonna go with 10/24. That way, no one, or not too many, will have to take time off work.

I've been to a couple where that was the only day/time available and 99% of the guest list was from out of the area (several states away). It requires advance notice via save the dates but it can be pulled off. Those who want to be there will do what they can to make it happen.
