Hey Ladies! We are 8 weeks away from wedding day. On Feb 2nd I had told our caterer we cut our guest list back to 10. We had made a deposit of $2,500 for our original wedding of 200 back in 2019. But due to covid and such we decided to just do a mini wedding. Well here we are in March and have not...
Hey Ladies!

We are 8 weeks away from wedding day. On Feb 2nd I had told our caterer we cut our guest list back to 10. We had made a deposit of $2,500 for our original wedding of 200 back in 2019. But due to covid and such we decided to just do a mini wedding. Well here we are in March and have not heard a word from them! They are still open. Their Facebook page is active replying to comments. We posted a question on their page, no response. I've emailed them 5 times trying to get a new invoice for our mini wedding and obviously a refund of our original deposit. We call no answer.
We live out of state so going there is an option but I don't know how to feel. Is it reasonable to just show up? Am I exaggerating? Btw. Before we cut back I would email and get a response within 3 days. So over a month is unusual. My fiance even left voicemails and no call back. Please help! I'm frustrated!!

    You are not overreacting, I'd probably show up unannounced to get answers. If you can't I agree with others to have a close family or friend do it. But it would be better for you to do it.

    Not at all. They should be eager to please their customer. I'd be extremely up their asses on getting a reply. If it's feasible, I'd have someone nearby show up.

    Thanks ladies! It really sucks and unprofessional how some vendors handle these things. It adds to the stress. I hope at the end it all works out. For now we got a new invoice and have been in contact with them everyday to ensure we are on the same page. Thank you ladies. If they do this agian I plan to just show up.

    Thank you for the update! I am so glad they were back in touch and hopefully they maintain contact with you until your wedding day. I definitely understand as that happened with our vendor for our photo-booth. We had a contract but didn't need to leave any deposit so thankfully we just called it quits after 4 months of not hearing back and looked for another vendor. Best wishes!🥰
