Am i having my bachelorette party too early?

My wedding is in May and I really wanted a summer bachelorette party. So my only option is August and that’s when it is. I’m so excited and so are my bridesmaids, but suddenly I’m worried that it’s too early, knowing that bach parties are usually 3-4 months before the wedding. I’ve been engaged since October 2020 so the bach party is not right away. It’s just 9 months before my wedding. Has anyone else done something like this? I feel like I’m the only one.

3-4 months may be the "norm" but it's not required for you to have it in that time frame. Do whatever works best for yourself and your guests attending. I wouldn't have a problem with attending one 9 months before the wedding. Especially since COVID numbers seem to be rising in alot of states again, who knows what will happen in a few months.

100% agree!
My wedding is January 2022, and my ladies are throwing my bachelorette in September! A little closer to my date than yours, but I def. wouldn't have a problem attending a bachelorette 9 months before the wedding! If you want to have it in a season where there's more to do, then why not?

You can have your shower and bach party whenever you want before your wedding!!
One of my bridesmaids had a June bachelorette party for her November wedding (5 months before) because June worked better for her bridesmaids' summer schedules! 🍾 No one thought anything of the earlier timeline!
