Am i supposed to touch base with my florist?

If it makes you feel more at ease to reach out to the florist, I say go for it! You could ask them about the timeline on when they will need more specific info from you, payment schedule on when you will owe the remaining balance, check in with them to see if they are waiting on any info from you, and maybe mention your thoughts on the specific flowers that she recommended (if you've had a chance to look them up).

I’m not sure what there is to check in about at this point. I would probably reach out about a month to 90 days out to confirm your selections and discuss pick up or drop off times.

Yes you should be corresponding with vendors regularly via phone/email.

My wedding is in early September, and my florist suggested I make a "final consultation" in June or July. I think it's best to follow-up and make sure that they understand what flowers your expecting and drop-off time.

Lol yeah welcome to the wonderful world of vendors! From what it sounds like if your vendor is anything like some of my vendors, they will wait till the very last minute, probably reach out to you three months before the wedding… Then when you have your dream floral all picked out in your head as you’d imagined it they’ll drop the bomb on you and tell you that those are out of season or they can’t get them in etc. if I were you I would just reach out and be that needy demanding bride. You really have to make these vendors work for you and I’ve started to learn that the hard way. To add to that, if she is anything like some of my vendors, she probably forgot the inspiration pic you sent to her in the first place. If you reach out let us know how that goes. Good luck!

If all you did was send pictures and pay the deposit, and you havent set up specifics on what you actually want them to do, then yes I would reach out through phone or email

If it puts you at ease than yes reach out. I had my one & only meeting with our florist the end of January for our 4/3/21 wedding. I sent her some inspiration pics a week later & signed the contract mid February.
