Here we are on the evening of May 23rd, 2019. I stayed up until 6:30am watching wedding planning youtube videos, checking out dresses for my ladies, pinterest, and getting ideas for invites. And yet my wedding isn't until September of next year.
Am I the only one who wants to do as much planning as possible rather than over a long period of time? Granted, it's a good distraction with FH being 1,100 miles away for work this summer (he's in Michigan and I'm in Mississippi). I'm stashing money away each week for our wedding and he's stashing away for our own house. Don't ask about living situation cause it is a mess.
We have our venue in Indiana (where my family lives- some of whom can't travel very easily) locked in. We have a photographer (a family friend with his own company of 15 years) set. At Christmas service, the pastor at church said "When you get him to agree on a date, let me know right away because I would love to do your wedding." So officint is checked off the list. Mama offered to grow flowers from her garden so florist is taken care of AND offered the back yard for rehersals. Plus she has been thrift shopping like crazy for center piece items. I've gotten a couple items for my ladies to do bridesmaid proposal boxes and next I want to order invites.
Big things are checked off and all info needed for invites is known. I know to wait to send them out but I just want to have them on hand and stashed away so that way because we have the money now to afford what we want. Too many times we've tried to save and SOMETHING comes along that kills our savings. I don't want that to be the case for our wedding. It sucks being a planner that worries all the time.
Is it too early to order invites if they're just going to be stashed away?
