Amazon after wedding registry

Danielle, on April 4, 2018 at 12:39 PM Posted in Registry 0 11
So I have seen that after the wedding date Amazon will give you 20% off of items not purchased that are still left in the registry. I am just trying to figure out how that actually works.

I’m not sure how it works for Amazon, but I’d imagine it works the same as Target or Bed Bath and Beyond where they give you a promo code that can be applied to anything left on the registry.

It looks like a certain amount had to have been purchased from the amazon registry in order to qualify for the 20%. I didn't know about this until just now.

A lot of stores give you a completion discount to purchase things yourself after the wedding. Bed Bath & Beyond does it for a year, Crate & Barrel and Pottery Barn do it for 6 months. So anything you buy at one of those stores, within that stated timeframe, will be discounted. Amazon probably has it automatically set up, but I'm sure a quick call to their customer service will confirm that.

I just went through this. A certain dollar amount has to be purchased in order to qualify. I ended up chatting with customer service and received my discount code. The only items eligible for the discount are ones that are sold/ship from Amazon.

Just make sure it's sold and shipped from Amazon or the discount doesn't apply. I just used mine and I was able to use it for some things we hadn't registered for as well.
