Amusement Park Honeymoon

Brandie, on June 2, 2014 at 1:39 AM Posted in Honeymoon 0 12

So we live in Michigan about 2 hours away from Michigan Adventures. We are strapped on money and really can't think of anything else that we would like to do and we both LOVE going to amusement parks. It would only be a fraction of what it would cost to travel, its something we love to do but haven't gotten to do in a LONG time, and we could get a hotel room for the night and still do the honeymoon stuff too, so long as I remember the SPF and dont become a fried lobster like all the times before. Good idea, yay or nay?

That sounds adorable. Maybe you could wear a little mini veil for the day at the park, to push the honeymooning theme. Smiley smile You know, like the minnie/mickey bridal ears.

That sounds fun. They have a water park too, maybe find a way to make something water proof that can still be honeymoony

I say go for it, I am going to an amusement park for our wedding/honeymoon. I would rather have fun and goof around then something over the top romantic because that is just our personalities.

I live by cedar point and they actually have specials for honeymooners - you can get a "fast pass" card that eliminates long waits in line and you get to eat in a secluded restaurant (at least i think? my friend showed me an article about it - i actually didn't look into it more than that).. so i would ask the park if they have something like that.

i think it is adorable! you can have a honeymoon that doesn't break the budget and it clearly means something to you Smiley smile. have fun!!! Smiley smile

FH is taking me to Disney Land in Florida for our honeymoon. He's gone there with family when he was young, but I never have been there. We plan on staying in a hotel right on site, and doing fun stuff every day for about a week. Can't wait.

If it makes you happy, good idea. We are traveling, but not expensively. I originally wanted to do something more extravagant, but I'm thinking we have plenty of anniversaries we would save up for. I'm excited about our more modest vacation.

Very good idea...I want to do this but FH isn't a fan of amusement parks so I'm a little jealous

That's so fun! I used to work at cedar point and see honeymooners all the time in their bride and groom shirts or whatever. So much fun!

It's your honeymoon, and should be something both of you want to do.

We're visiting 5 MLB ballparks in 8 days. Not everyone's idea of fun, but when I suggested it, I made DH's day.

I say go for it. Honeymoons are about you two and your time together. There is a nice hotel in the area if you can stay one night see if they'll give you anything off. Hotels do things like that. You just have to ask
