Amusement Parks

Kari, on April 25, 2018 at 1:38 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 11
Anyone go to an amusement park for their honeymoon. Planning on a road trip amusement park honeymoon. 4 amusements parks, most about 3 hours from each other or so. And some other things as well. Maybe mammoth cave tossed in as well. Anyone do anything similar?

That sounds awesome! I love roller coasters and honestly that sounds a lot better than sitting on a beach. What parks did you have in mind?

Cedar Point, Kings Island, Kentucky Kingdom, and Holiday World. So they're all relatively close to each other. Plus mammoth cave and maybe Rock n Roll Hall of Fame or something.

Two days off for the wedding, day before and day of. Thursday and Friday. Looking like Honeymoon will be Saturday-Tuesday or Wednesday of the week after, so a week and a half. Between the two it should be two weeks off. But because we're getting married end of April we are pushing the honeymoon off until June. All in all it should work out good with timing, days, scheduling, weather, distance, etc.

We are doing Disney World for ours. It is a lot of work planning but it is going to be awesome!

We're also going to Disney World, but I think any type of amusement part would be really fun. I'm just not the all-inclusive resort kind of girl.

Cedar Point is my favorite! Just as a recommendation... but then again, I'm also a biased Ohioan.

Jealous! I wish my FH could tolerate roller coasters or any sort of ride but unfortunately the two of them don't go together very well. Cedar Point should be a definite for sure!

I'm way more into the rides and smaller roller coasters. I don't do steep drops or loops haha. So far I've been to six flags great America and could go on three of the roller coasters, that's it. This summer were going to Indiana beach so excited about that. I YouTube amusement parks and their roller coasters and watch videos to see if I could ride it. Kings island definitely offered the most that I could ride. I let FH go on some roller coasters by himself though if the line is shorter or we have time. He's definitely into the loops and steep drops, so I figure he should be able to enjoy those if he wants too.

We are going to Universal Studios in California for our honeymoon. I am so excited! I've never been to Califonia before, and we only have a week to get married and have our honeymoon before my fiance's vacation is over and he has to return to work.

We also considered universal studios in Florida but decided on Ohio/Kentucky/Indiana road trip amusement park instead. Decided that because we're from Chicago so we can check the parks out and then know what's the best. That way we can plan future trips to the parks we love.
